Tennis Instruction

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience teaching and coaching tennis. I have taught at the Ottawa Athletic Club, the Rideau Tennis Club, the City of Ottawa, and the Jack Purcell Community Center. I offer private and group lessons to children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience teaching people of all different levels, both competitively and recreationally.

I am an accomplished tennis player. I was ranked in the top 20 among under-18s in the province of Ontario and was the National Capital Tennis Association’s former under-18 singles and doubles champion. I have won numerous leagues and tournaments throughout Ottawa in both singles and doubles, as a junior and an adult, including the Elmdale Tennis Club singles championships in 2015 and 2019 and doubles championships from 2015–2017 and again in 2019. I continue to play competitively to this day. More recently, I won the Eldon Ferguson Memorial in 2024 and the Hull Open in 2025, in addition to winning several doubles tournaments and reaching the quarterfinals of the Philip Leblanc Memorial four times.

Equipment

If you don’t have your own tennis racket, that isn’t a problem since I have a number of spare tennis rackets. I have tennis balls that are either new or in good condition, tennis ball hoppers, and a ball machine.
