Tennis Instruction

Experience

I have over 20 years of experience teaching and coaching tennis. I have taught at the Ottawa Athletic Club, the Rideau Tennis Club, the City of Ottawa, and the Jack Purcell Community Center. I offer private and group lessons to children, adolescents, and adults. I have experience teaching people of all different levels, both competitively and recreationally.

I am an accomplished tennis player. I was ranked in the top 20 among under-18s in the province of Ontario. I was the National Capital Tennis Association’s former singles and doubles under-18 champion. I have won a number of leagues and tournaments throughout Ottawa in both singles and doubles, as both a juniour and an adult, including recent club championships such as the Elmdale Tennis Club championships in singles (2015 and 2019) and doubles (2015–2017 and 2019). I still play competitively to this day. Last year, I won a couple of doubles tournaments, reached the quarterfinals of the Philip Leblanc Memorial, and am scheduled to play in the finals of the Eldon Ferguson Memorial this season.

Equipment

If you don’t have your own tennis racket, that isn’t a problem since I have a number of spare tennis rackets. I have tennis balls that are either new or in good condition, tennis ball hoppers, and a ball machine.
