Consciousness is the most fundamental thing we know, even more so than the external world since we require it to perceive or think about anything. Without it, reasoning would be impossible. But, how did it come into being?
 

On Thursday, March 28, 2019, 3:30 p.m. the Department of Philosophy presents “God, Consciousness, and Evolution: A Lecture on the Origin of Consciousness”, taking place in SJ1 Room 3014. Theologian and philosopher Dr. Scott Ventureyra discusses the central themes of his book On the Origin of Consciousness, and explores the deep interrelationship between God, consciousness, and evolution.
