Javier Milei: A Thorn in the Globalists’ Side

The president of Argentina, Javier Milei, is at it again. He’s ruffling all the right feathers, at the right time, and in the right place. From January 15 to 19, 2024, the World Economic Forum (WEF) hosted its 54th annual meeting. On day three, January 17, 2024, he delivered his historic speech. But before we discuss some of the highlights of Milei’s speech, it would be important to situate the context of his speech by briefly explaining what the WEF is, who the key players involved are, and its agenda.

The WEF is part of a number of international globalist organizations, such as the International Migration Institute, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations, and the World Health Organization, that share the same agenda and work in collaboration with one another.

This year, the WEF’s meeting hosted close to 3,000 leaders from government, businesses, institutions, and civil society organizations, such as activist groups, religious organizations, social movements, foundations, individual academics, and others, from over 125 countries, including hundreds of heads of state and government and ministers, who participated in this meeting about a wide range of topics and global issues that the forum considers key and pivotal global issues. It gathers not the 1 percent but the top .000001 percent of people in the world. More often than not, most of the participants share a common vision and a homogenous goal and vision. Dissidents like Javier Milei and others like the president of the Heritage Foundation, Kevin Roberts, are few and far between.

The WEF is infamous for their slogan “you will own nothing and be happy,” which originated in a 2016 video by the WEF. Since then, they have tried to cover their tracks on its true meaning.


Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, who resembles a villain from one of the James Bond movies, co-authored with Thierry Malleret a book in 2020 titled COVID-19: The Great Reset. In this book, they propose a global economic reset of the world’s economy. They call this reset “stakeholder capitalism,” but the Great Reset is actually global socialism, a redistribution of wealth, and the abolition of private property.

And for those who still think that this business about eating insects is a “conspiracy theory,” you can go directly to the WEF’s website and see how they promote the eating of insects under the pretext of reducing climate change. Famed actress Nicole Kidman has even promoted the eating of insects in a bizarre video. Aside from this marketing scheme, they want to get the peasants (the everyday person who’s not part of the elite group) to cease eating meat and reduce their carbon footprint to practically zero by 2050 through their “net-zero transition” initiative, under the pretext of saving the planet. This objective would include 15-minute cities to prevent the peasants from travelling and contributing to carbon emissions. 


This strategy is no different from when they used the Covid pseudo-pandemic as a pretext to remove our rights and freedoms. All the while, these elites were unaffected by any of these restrictions and continued to travel in their private jets and continue to consume the highest quality meat they desire—a mentality typical of communist leaders. Let’s also not forget the push toward more “reproductive rights” (higher rates of abortion), widening the eligibility criteria for receiving medical assistance in dying (MAID), the promotion of gender ideology in its various guises (feminism, same-sex relations, transgenderism), and other such aspirations to help reduce carbon emissions because of the claim of “unsustainable” population growth.

The top issues discussed at Davos were climate change, the world economy, the future of AI and humanity, our current wars, and gender ideology, to name a few. But one of the key themes can be found in this year’s motto: “Rebuilding Trust Amid Uncertainty.” But how are they meant to rebuild trust, assuming that globalist organizations had it in the first place, considering that to any reflective observer, they are pushing an agenda that is harmful to the human person, the family, economic prosperity, healthy living, freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, and so much more? 


The answer, of course, lies in combating “misinformation” and “disinformation.” This will no doubt be done by further controlling how and what type of information we receive. Essentially, they don’t want you to think for yourself and, by implication, want ownership over your thoughts. This is something that is not far from the truth when we consider WEF “agenda contributor” Yuval Noah Harari’s transhumanist goals to hack humans and their minds.

In his speech, Milei denounces all forms of collectivism that stifle authentic human flourishing. He affirms that despite variant names, collectivists—whether communists, fascists, socialists, social democrats, national socialists, Christian democrats, neo-Keynesians, progressives, populists, nationalists, or globalists—all genuflect to the dictates of the state, thereby allowing it to control all aspects of the individual person’s life. Instead, he argues that economic freedom, limited government, and unlimited respect for private property are fundamental elements of economic prosperity. Milei emphasizes the pitfalls of collectivism by using Argentina as an empirical test case. 


I present a brief overview of Argentina’s protracted decline into poverty in my piece “The Phenomenon of Javier Milei.” No matter how wealthy, intelligent, or skilled a person is, Milei contends that poverty is ultimately the result of taking away their freedom and autonomy through the application of destructive economic policies that obstruct the free operation of markets, competition, price systems, trade, and private property ownership.

Milei also states that the empirical evidence is undeniable that free-trade capitalism is not the problem but the solution to end world hunger and poverty. Consequently, the evidence is also undeniable that socialism has been an utter failure throughout space and time. Not only has it systematically impoverished people, but it has also been responsible for over 100 million deaths.

Milei talks about the blunders of Neoclassical economic theory, which has been defended by different thinkers, including academics and political leaders. It uses tools that unintentionally serve socialism and the intervention of the state. This is done under the false assumption of market failure. He stresses that there is no such thing as market failure since the market cannot be reduced to a graph describing supply and demand but rather functions as a mechanism by which individuals freely exchange ownership rights. He contends that these regulations that are to correct market failure cause price system inefficiencies, hinder economic calculus, and obstruct saving, investing, and growth.

In his speech, he goes on to explain that given the failure of economic Marxism, leftists had to introduce Neo-Marxism (cultural Marxism) to create social divisions that are just as harmful to human life and progress. In this regard, he argues against radical feminism, which has led to greater state intervention by allocating jobs to bureaucrats who make zero contributions to humanity and society. He also argues against the climate hysteria that pits humans against nature and leads cultural Marxists to advocate for abortion and other depopulation methods (not to mention eating insects), as discussed above.

He goes on to refute those who claim to hold a moral high ground and who cry that individualism is self-centered and that collectivism is altruistic (while unreflectively using the money of others). These detractors defend the incoherent concept of social justice since justice is ultimately individualistic. Milei rightfully argues that social justice is unjust and does not offer anything to a human’s general well-being. Unfortunately, social justice, understood as such, is something that Pope Francis, for instance, continuously defends, but without good reason.

With this vigorous defense of cultural Marxism at every turn of Western society, the tactics have shifted from classical economic Marxism—where to control every aspect of its citizens’ lives, all that needs to be done is to control the means of production—to methods such as printing money and controlling interest rates, debt, government subsidies, price controls, regulations to correct so-called market failures, and other methods such as lockdowns and coerced vaccination.

He rightfully decries the loss of common sense and how educational institutions, the media, culture, and globalist organizations promote nonsense. He acknowledges that the West has unfortunately ventured too far down the path of cultural Marxism. This is something that Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn warned the West about long ago in his 1975 speech he delivered to the BBC, which was later published as Warning to the West. We could all learn a lot from the wisdom of Solzhenitsyn, who starkly faced the evils of his time. These very same evils are still finding their way into the West but under different names and different pretenses. Thus, the fight that Milei is putting up against collectivism and globalism is of paramount importance.

One thought I cannot escape is that it should be someone like Pope Francis who is championing this message of hope and freedom, not a secular libertarian (although Milei may be on the path to convert to Judaism). Quite oppositely, Pope Francis has been sympathetic to Klaus Schwab’s Great Reset and has held private meetings with the likes of Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla. He seems to be on board with the collectivist and globalist agenda. One cannot help but ask whether this is done unwittingly or intentionally. I will leave that for the readers to decide.

Milei’s message is ultimately one of hope. He indicates that the common people around the world are the protagonists of this story—not the .000001 percent who want to control the many—and that we need not be ashamed or feel guilty for our success, prosperity, innovation, and ambition. In the end, in spite of the state, we are the authors of our own lives.
